Faith, Hope & Charity (2012)

Freemasons have been meeting in Naperville for over 170 years, and they remain significant benefactors of many local charities and non-profits. The names of 12 notable American masons are inscribed alongside 12 Naperville masons, accompanied by two large portraits of George Washington – one of 14 U.S. Presidents who were Masons – and Joe Naper, founder of Naperville and founding member of Naperville’s masonic lodge. An 18-inch painted border simulates wood and rope, signifying how masons are connected worldwide.

Euclid Lodge No. 65 above Naperville Running Company on West Jefferson Avenue was chartered in 1849 and is the oldest masonic lodge in DuPage County.
