The Grinch (2012)
A life-size bronze sculpture of the Grinch and his faithful dog, Max, stands just outside the Naper Boulevard Library. Theodor Seuss Geisel delighted millions worldwide with surreal literary universes in over 40 children’s books for more than sixty years.
The sculpture is appropriately at the entrance of the library to greet everyone upon arrival and to remind us of the lessons in “How the Grinch Stole Christmas” – to welcome others regardless of differences and to value your loved ones, not your possessions.
