Dedicated on Veteran’s Day on November 11, 2006, Veteran’s Valor honors the heroism of five soldiers who grew up within a few blocks of each other in Naperville and served in World War II.

Together, they earned four Silver Stars, two Distinguished Flying Crosses, and three Purple Hearts. Depicted beneath the American flag, the men reunite as old friends after the war’s end. This sculpture commemorates the bravery and sacrifices of the many others who have served and continue to serve the nation.
