A Lifetime Together (2002)

A compassionate moment is shared between Jane Latshaw and William “Billy” Scherer, who fell in love as third-grade students in our town during the 1920s and began their 60-year marriage in 1941.

Beside them are two mementos – a copy of Jane’s letter to an ailing Billy in elementary school and a note that Billy signed with his friend, betting 50 cents that he would someday marry his childhood sweetheart. The couple’s children – John, James, and Susan Scherer- commissioned A Lifetime Together for Century Walk.
