Riverwalk Visionaries (2005)

This sculpture – inspired by Andrea del Verrocchio’s Italian Renaissance sculpture Christ and Saint Thomas – honors the vision of local businessman Jim Moser, architect Chuck George, and Mayor Chet Rybicki, whose collective vision crafted the Riverwalk along the West Branch of the DuPage River.

Dedicated in 1981, the completion of the Riverwalk was only possible with the entire community’s efforts. The park soon became a community gathering spot and fostered a spirit of public/private cooperation that continues to this day.
