World’s Greatest Artists (2009)

Appropriately painted on the side of the Naperville Fine Arts Center and Gallery, this imaginative mural portrays 32 artistic icons and two local artists. From Michelangelo painting the ceiling of the Sistine Chapel to Jackson Pollock flinging a can of paint, the vibrant composition pulls people of all ages into its delightful tableau. The mural’s unique style and subject matter were inspired by Glen Ellyn artist Mike Venezia who wrote and illustrated a series of children’s books called Getting to Know the World’s Greatest Artists.
